What’s New at JRAid

Breakfast Food Collection

During the summer months, kids who qualify for free and reduced-price school lunches no longer have access to vital resources.  In order to help children in need and their families, JRA is accepting kosher donations of the following items (and only these items):

-Granola bars
-Applesauce cups
-Boxes of dry cereal
-Apple juice
-Rice cakes

Donations can be dropped off at JRA's July 10th and August 7th food distributions.

We are grateful for any and all support!

More Ways to Get Involved...

Looking for a great project with a big impact?
You can help by collecting items, making birthday cards, or raising money to help fund a gig.  Items collected go directly to people in our community and other area agencies who need them.

Items accepted
* Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant)
* Paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels)
* Foil, plastic wrap, dish soap, detergent, trash bags
* Cans of tuna

Collecting not for you?  Grab a group of people to help send birthday cards to our recipients.  This simple act of kindness will let them know that we are thinking of them on their special day.  We will assign you a month's worth of cards (average number per month is around 400 cards).

You bring the awesome volunteers and we bring the cards, envelopes, address labels, and stamps.  Cards will be co-branded with your name or group's logo.

Have a chair, dresser, and/or mattress & box spring you would like to donate?

Gentleman spends his days caring for his home bound mother in northeast Philadelphia.  They are desperately in need of a twin size mattress and box spring, as their dire circumstances make it impossible for them to afford a set on their own.

We also have a senior in South Philly who needs a dresser in which to put her clothes and a comfy, sturdy chair to sit in.  The dresser should be sturdy with drawers that are easy to manage.  If you have an item that you would like to donate, please contact us at

“Thank you for making my life much easier to cope with and all the stuff I go through everyday.”
